The Official Opening of the
Kerry Film Festival
will be by Charles Asprey
Charles is the co-founder of ArtSchool Palestine, an on-line
forum for the promotion of Contemporary Palestinian Art and
Culture, established in 2004. He is to curate an international
exhibition of wall paintings at The Peace Centre in Bethlehem
in May 2006. Having worked for 14 years in the contemporary
art world in London,New York and Chicago, he has gathered
extensive experience as well as becoming an established collector
himself.Charles also acts as an advisor to a number of UK-based
collectors.
County Kerry holds a special place in his heart and he is
truly grateful to the Festival committee for their invitation,
and feels honoured to open the 2005 Festival.

In 1958,Moss Moore, a fifty year old bachelor farmer was found
murdered in rural Kerry.
The mountain community didn't look far for a suspect.Moore's
nearest neighbour Dan Foley was involved in a bitter dispute
over the positioning of a fence, separating their land.

their journey home to the city of Nazareth.What should be a
simple car trip is beset by politically charged tension and
a militarized reality - each of which serves as a foil to enhance
the struggle of a complacent father raising a strong willed
son.
