Still Moving is a selection of work by contemporary Irish artists Brian Fay, Andrew Folan, Tom Moore, Isabel Nolan and Niamh O’Malley.
As part of the 2007 Samhlaíocht Kerry Film Festival this group exhibition brings together a selection of work by artists who chose to cross the traditional media - digital media - film spectrum.
Traditional fine art practices, references to Old Masters and the creative rethinking of modes of visual interpretation through new technologies, combine to create a new hybrid, presenting a progression in visual art practice which continues to evolve, moving forward toward future paradigms of contemporary art.
Samhlaíocht Kerry Film Festival is delighted to present such high calibre visual art as part of its FESTVAL + Programme for 2007, bringing 5 cutting edge contemporary artists to Kerry for the first time helping to broaden local awareness of visual arts practice in Ireland and encouraging our film audiences to appreciate the filmic narratives that exists in contemporary visual arts practice.
